      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide superior customer service to internal and external customers when scheduling patient appointments
      - Coordinate appointments/procedures for patients and provide information and instruction to prepare the patient for their visit
      - Maintain data integrity in the pre-registration of patients, verifying and updating demographics and assessing patient insurance coverage
      - Actively participate in the analysis of work processes and provide feedback to improve the overall scheduling/access process
      - Demonstrate and maintain competency in computer skills related to patient registration, insurance verification, and appointment scheduling

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - High School Diploma or equivalency
      - 1 year experience in an office setting requiring customer service responsibilities
      - Must adhere to Gundersen Health System's mission statement, employee compact, customer service standards, and all policies and procedures
      - Keep skills and education current through periodic in-service on service excellence, registration and scheduling policies, and insurance guidelines
      - View, document, or print from the patient's electronic health record to assist with coordination of patient care

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 6 months Health care experience
