What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Interpret the NGSS and state standards for large-scale science assessment development
- Design innovative science assessment tasks using various media and interactive formats
- Edit and review science assessment items and scoring materials to meet project guidelines
- Serve as the lead science content specialist on assessment development projects
- Facilitate content review meetings and participate in client meetings related to projects

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Experience within the last three years in large-scale assessment development
- Degree in science (Master's preferred; advanced coursework in Earth sciences preferred)
- Deep understanding of assessing NGSS and Framework across all grades and disciplines
- Teaching experience in science or background in science education
- Strong analytical, editing, and communication skills

- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Experience in mentoring junior content staff members
- Familiarity with assessment development platforms and software applications
