      Lead the preparation of medical plan in a Rare Disease and drive medical activities in relation to the strategic identification, generation and dissemination of pre-clinical, clinical, economic, competitive and environment data in the relevant disease.

In Specialty Care, our mission is to help people with debilitating and complex conditions in immunology, rare diseases, rare blood disorders, neurology & oncology.

      Main responsibilities

      • Lead the preparation of the medical plan and drive Medical Affairs activities to support the strategic identification, generation and dissemination of pre-clinical, clinical, economic, competitive and environment data in the relevant disease area.
      • Provide scientific expertise to support the business in the relevant disease area in Rare Disease.
      • Work collaboratively with internal local, regional and global colleagues to identify the strategy for the disease area and products.
      • Engage effectively with KOL to seek advice for results and data interpretation.
      • Ensures that all medical communication materials meet the requirements of MHRA, PMCPA and other applicable guidelines and regulations, through managing the approval, dissemination, material management and tracking processes in collaboration the Brand Management teams.

      About you

      • Educated to degree level, or equivalent, with a scientific qualification. A PhD is preferable.
      • Final signatory (preferable). Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and of regulatory processes (PMCPA and IPHA Codes of Practice and MHRA/IMB regulations) and their practical application in a business environment.
      • Proven experience in Medical Affairs.
      • Good understanding of the principles of clinical research and reporting of scientific results is essential, research experience desirable.
      • Good understanding of the changes in the UK Healthcare Landscape. Digital experience in Medical Affairs is preferable.
