      Your Role:

      As an Scrum Master V, you'll provide servant leadership and be the facilitators for no more than two agile teams working under the SAFe / scrum methodology. You're the point person responsible for understanding the big development picture of each sprint. You bridge the needs of product management, sales, marketing, operations, and product development. This role works closely with the product owner to translate epics, stories, and other items on the sprint list into actionable tasks for developers.

      Your work:

      The Scrum Engineer will have strong analytical skills in software delivery practices.

      • Leads one to two Agile application development teams and takes on the most complicated work – new projects and applications that have high level of dependencies (across divisions)
      • Leads the Agile cadence activities within the Scrum framework, ensuring participation from team members and key stakeholders.
      • Facilitates discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.
      • Removes impediments or guides the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
      • Shields the team from outside distractions and interferences.
      • Develops and manages team release plans and sprint plans.
      • Monitors, reviews, and maintains the sprint backlog and product backlog in coordination with business product owner and other team members.
      • Develops internal and external communication, improving transparency.
      • Maintains visual progress metrics indicating velocity, burn-down, etc.
      • Can facilitate scaling ceremonies (Scrum of Scrum or PAW, etc.)
      • Supports team to adopt advanced practices and helps other less experienced scrum masters do the same
      • Partner with product owner to keep backlog groomed, prioritized and refined.
      • Coach teams in agile practices and ceremonies to achieve greater maturity and velocity
      • Serves as a coach to other Scrum Masters to support the continued roll out of Agile across teams

      What would make us excited about you?

      • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field plus
      • Expertise with agile methodology and frameworks inclusive SAFe, LeSS, et
      • Expertise with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
      • Scrum & SAFe Agile certifications desired.
      • Shows respect for differences through excellent communication skills with people from an array of backgrounds.
      • Actively shapes our company culture (e.g., participating in employee resource groups, volunteering, etc.)
      • Lives into cultural norms (e.g., willing to have cameras when it matters: helping onboard new team members, building relationships, etc.)
      • Travels as needed for role, including divisional / team meetings and other in-person meetings
      • Fulfills business needs, which may include investing extra time, helping other teams, etc

      The national average salary range for this position is $144,450-$160,500. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full [salary range] for this position across all the states we hire in is $129,870-$192,500. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 12% of eligible pay.
