      We’re looking for a Search Specialist. The work location for this position is Burnaby, British Columbia, and is eligible for hybrid work arrangement.
      The Opportunity:

      RBA guarantees that all buyers will purchase equipment that is free and clear of encumbrances. To achieve this, we search for liens and request payouts from the creditors involved. This role specializes in front-end contract management of all files for Seller Services.

      General responsibility:
      • Ensure policies and procedures are followed – including but not limited to adhering to SOX controls & compliance guidelines.
      • Understand and manage business risk for all consigner files.
      • Proactively manage workflow and time management of all files to ensure timely processing of all files.
      • Support the Seller Services cycle in collaboration with all internal departments to meet deadlines.
      • Ensure consignor files are settled in accordance with the company’s contractual obligations and within company policy.
      • Contribute to department productivity and quality assurance through Key Performance Indicators.
      • Investigate and resolve consignor related issues independently and/or in collaboration with sale site managers and internal managers.
      • Collaborating with Sales teams with clear objectives and resolutions when necessary.
      • Negotiating with lienholders.
      • Investigation and resolution of any discrepancies with active, pending, deficient and complex files. Collaboration with all Customer Financial Operations and departments as deemed necessary.
      In this role you’ll:
      • Review of all contracts and lien search results. Investigate and resolve all lien related issues independently and/or in collaboration with Field teams (Sales, Sales Support & Operations). Collaborate with Legal as needed.
      • Contact lienholders to obtain payouts and discharge documents.
      • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and departments to meet auction deadlines.
      • Actively support the RB Unreserved Commitment to Safety: to send everyone home, every day, the way they came to work, by taking personal responsibility for your safety and safety of your team, co-workers and customers.
      Here’s what you bring:
      • Highschool Diploma or equivalent

      • 2+ years’ experience in contract, legal, administrative, or banking related roles.
      • Negotiating and problem resolution.
      • Previous experience in high volume related roles.
      • Ability to work independently.
      • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

      Individual compensation packages are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including geographic location, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons.
      Based on the national average, the anticipated base salary range for this role is $54,200 - $67,700 per year.
