Responsibilities Salary: $16.00 Per Hour A Day in the Life: Ensure the safety of all patrons, while they are on the pool deck or in the water using proactive and reactive measures as trained. Demonstrate confidence and proficiency in the water. Required to attend and pass all Lifeguard Certification training, including physical and written tests. Comfortable performing in-water skills at varying levels of depth (up to 15ft). Required to maintain rescue ready skills by attending four hours of in-service training during each month of employment. Handle physical part of the job (outside all day in the heat). Adheres to and enforces all established State Farm and Lifeguard vendor policies and procedures. Ability to work in a team environment. Answer questions from customers about the use of the pool and pool policies. Required to wear the uniform provided by State Farm. Communicate with your supervisor on any schedule changes and hours worked. State Farm Park lifeguards are scheduled up to 30-40 hours per week. Hours will include weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays. **Lifeguards must commit to work at least 12 1/2 weeks out of the 14 1/2 week season. This list may not include all tasks, or duties that may be expected to be perform and may result in additional duties being assigned. Must be dependable, work in a team, motivated. Must be comfortable with communicating and enforcing State Farm Park and pool policies to patrons.
