Join the Enstrom Candies Team – Seasonal Toffee Line - Swing Shift

At Enstrom Candies, we’ve been crafting world-class confections since 1960, and we’re proud of the quality and craftsmanship that goes into every product we make. We are currently looking for individuals who would like to join our toffee line for the season. We are currently needing staff for the swing shift (2:30 pm to 11:00 pm). Swing shift will have a shift differential added to the base pay rate. Come be a part of a sweet tradition at Enstrom Candies!

ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• A Toffee Line employee at Enstrom Candies is responsible for taking the Almond Toffee from its production stage to its finished product stage. The position involves packing the toffee into the jars, weighing, lidding, sealing, labeling and palletizing the finished jars. Auxiliary responsibilities include jar weight verification, and maintaining area cleanliness.
• Other duties to support the full range of activities of the company may include processing shipping labels, light maintenance duties, assisting other departments, preparation of other candy products, and other duties as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Toffee Line Process includes ensuring quality of toffee as it progresses down the line, with pre-established guidelines
• Lidding toffee jars ensuring quality of packing
• Sealing of product to include trouble- shooting sealer machine
• Responsible for palletizing toffee as directed
• Label making on computerized label system
• Moving wrapped pallets to freezer using pallet jack
• Light janitorial duties as assigned
• Assist in shipping room preparing packages for mail
• Shared responsibility and participation in GMPs
• Shared responsibility of maintaining HACCP compliance
• Assist other departments as needed

Qualifications

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum behavioral requirements: must work well within a team environment; must maintain a positive attitude on the job, must arrive at work station as scheduled, stay at work station as assigned and attend work as scheduled.
• Minimum Physical requirements: stand for the majority of the day, use repeated wrist motions without distress, high level of manual dexterity required; lift and carry up to 35 lbs; bend, stoop, climb ladders and kneel; push approximately 500 lbs on carts; follow directions and safety procedures;
• Tools, Equipment and Machinery used: scales, laser, box cutter, pallet jack, and lidding machine.
