What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide support for requisition review for the Section 508 approval process within the IRS procurement department
- Clarify applicable provisions and new procurement clauses to be included in contracts
- Handle intake, analysis, and processing of requisitions and documentation, including COTS software and hardware packages
- Respond to all incoming requests for Section 508 review assistance and address customer inquiries
- Collaborate with the Procurement liaison to ensure Section 508 provisions are included in the acquisition plan for software/web development

What is Required (Qualifications):
- A bachelor's degree in a relevant area is highly desired
- 5+ years of substantive and relevant experience in Section 508 policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Section 508 law, including provisions
- Familiarity with WCAG 2.0 Principles, Guidelines, and Success Criteria
- Understanding of the formal software development process and quality assurance standards

- Strong soft skills, including effective communication, teamwork, time management, and analytical thinking
- Experience in providing training or briefings related to Section 508 requisition processes
