What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a point of contact for information security issues and ensure compliance with federal security regulations
- Prepare and update reports to meet internal and external security reporting requirements, including FISMA
- Evaluate system environments for security requirements and manage security controls to ensure information confidentiality, integrity, and availability
- Conduct risk assessments, audit application and system logs for security threats, and report suspicious activities
- Assist in the development and maintenance of contingency plans and support the security awareness training program

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of IT/security-related experience with recent ISSO experience
- Knowledge of federal security regulations and requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain Public Trust clearance
- Experience in managing security controls and conducting risk assessments
- Strong documentation skills to adhere to AmeriCorps standards

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with Continuous Monitoring practices
- Experience in developing security specifications for system acquisitions
- Background in security awareness training and education programs
