Leadership of Woodside’s security, crisis and emergency management arrangements, systems, and controls in Mexico.
-
Maintains a contemporary understanding of the security and emergency management threat/risk landscape in Mexico, undertaking prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery activities to safeguard the business against those risks.

Provides specialist S&EM advice and support to Mexico assets, projects, personnel, and company visitors, to both protect and enable the business.
-
Ensures appropriate security briefings addressing security risks and controls are provided to company visitors to Mexico.
-
Develops, updates, and advises upon Asset/Facility/Country Security Risk Assessments, Security Management Plans, Emergency Response Plans and Mexico IMT Plan.
-
Company representative for Woodside’s private security provider contract in Mexico.
-
Oversees secure ground transport for all company travel to high-risk locations in Mexico, performed by the company’s contracted private security provider.
-
Develops, implements, and facilitates local S&EM training & exercises.
-
Performs assurance against asset owned S&EM controls and plans.
-
Supports local response to emergencies and crises in alignment with Woodside Energy corporate standards, regional and local arrangements.

Coordinates the Mexico IMT’s capability development and rostering.
-
Ensures Mexico incidents or emerging threats are reported/escalated in a timely manner.

Coordinates and delivers training on security, crisis and emergency management processes, systems, and controls.

Manages local security & emergency management service providers, ensuring value and quality.

Coordinates After Action Reviews (AAR) into effectiveness of local Level 1 incident response, post event.

Maintains and reports upon key performance indicators of security & emergency management performance in Mexico.

Supports technical oil spill response preparedness, emergency planning and response services.

Supports Woodside Energy during local regulatory interactions, reviews, inspections and exercises.

Maintains contemporary S&EM subject matter expertise, including participation in local industry groups, partnerships with relevant government and law enforcement agencies and maintaining a network of S&EM professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

ICS accreditation.

Oil Spill response experience
-
Fluency in Spanish & English.
-
Understanding of or experience in management of corporate security in Mexico.
-
Experience working in partnership with law enforcement or response agencies in Mexico.
-
Experience in the prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery to emergencies or crises, in the public or private sectors.
-
Knowledge and application of ICS (Incident Command Systems).
-
Experience in risk management and assurance programs.
-
Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
-
Ability to influence decisions and performance at operational and senior management levels.

Experience engaging and managing a broad stakeholder group.
-
Experience in learning facilitation and presentation.
-
Advanced visual presentation and report preparation skills.
-
High levels of personal resilience and adaptability.

Experience working in, or familiarity with the energy sector and related hazards.

About the Role:
This position reports to Woodside’s Head of Security and Emergency Management for the Americas and Africa regions. The successful candidate will drive organisational resilience to security and emergency threats by providing specialist S&EM advice and support, developing S&EM capability and assuring local plans align to company S&EM standards.
