Job Description

Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guards in Toronto.

Title: Security Guard

Location: Toronto, Downtown

Payrate: $16.55 to $18.00 per hour.

Duration: Contractual position for 90 days.

Schedule:

• Day, Evening and Night shifts.

Job Fair: We are holding a Job Fair on July 09, 2024 from 9:30am till 1pm.

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking Security Guards to oversee security operations for a Downtown, Toronto fair. The ideal candidate is a seasoned guard with excellent communication skills, willing to work the mentioned shift, and able to manage the job requirements. If you have experience as a security guard, enjoy patrolling and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirement:

• Six month of experience in a guard role in security.
• Open shift availability.
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
• Having a "Smart Serve" is an asset.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
• Responds to Emergency Situations such as fires, Chemical Spills, Medical Emergencies, Phone Threats, answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
