      United Security Services Inc. is looking for experienced Security Officers to work a one-day event in the Pilsen Area of Chicago on Monday, May 5th . The shifts range from 4:00 pm – 11:00 pm. Any not comfortable or available for this singular event need not apply.

      Please note that this position has a heavy emphasis on unarmed security experience as well as mobility, therefore we ask that applicants be comfortable with extensive walking, staying active, and working both indoors and outdoors. A black suit is also a preference for this event.

      Job Description:

      United Security Services Inc. is seeking experienced Security Officers to join our team in the Chicagoland area for an afternoon to evening shift. This role requires mobility, as you will be on your feet for extended periods, conducting both indoor and outdoor patrols. Responsibilities include maintaining a welcoming environment for guests, monitoring for suspicious activities, conducting security checks, and reporting incidents. Ideal candidates will have a professional appearance, excellent communication skills, and at least 2-3 years of verifiable security experience, along with a valid PERC card and 20-hour training certificate. Hotel security, law enforcement, or military experience is a plus.

      Job Responsibilities:

      • Provide a welcoming environment and provide needed services for guests
      • Patrol guest areas for suspicious activities and unauthorized people
      • Comfort with staying mobile and on your feet and patrolling both indoors and outdoors
      • Communicate effectively with guests while maintaining excellent hospitality and interpersonal skills
      • Perform a variety of security checks and follow post orders as directed by the hotel
      • Investigate incidents and create reports by recording observations, occurrences, and surveillance activities
      • Have a professional appearance and demeanor

      Must-Have Requirements:

      • Providing your own black suit is ideal.
      • Must have a valid PERC card and 20 Hour Training Certificate.
      • Must be over 21 years of age.
      • Must have at least 2 -3 years of VERIFIABLE security experience.
      • Must be willing to submit to a background check.
      • A well-groomed and professional appearance.
      • No visible facial piercings or unconventional hair colors.
      • Punctuality and reliability, with the ability to arrive on time and prepared for every shift.
      • Flexibility to work extended hours or additional shifts as needed.
      • Ability to work both inside and outside, conducting mobile patrols of the property in all weather conditions.
      • A proactive attitude, with the ability to stay active and alert throughout your shift.
      • Strong communication and customer service skills to interact with guests and staff professionally.
      • CPR and First Aid Certification a plus.

      If planning on attending, all attendees must be dressed in business attire, hair combed and neat. No visible face or neck tattoos, colored hair, or face piercings.

      Please bring with you:

      • An up-to-date Resume (Physical Copy)
      • Two forms of ID, preferably a valid Driver's License or State ID, and a Social Security Card or Birth Certificate. A valid passport is permitted as well. (Physical copies as well)
      • A valid PERC Card. (We are aware physical copies are no longer available to some, so an electronic copy is permitted)

      Failure to meet any of these requirements upon showing up will result in immediate dismissal from the event, no exceptions.
