What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Monitor and protect devices on the State of Maine network from cyber threats
- Perform continuous monitoring of critical systems and respond to security incidents
- Collaborate with the SOC Team Leads and Security Operations Manager to meet operational demands
- Conduct endpoint investigations and support endpoint security and engineering activities
- Engage in incident response activities related to endpoint security

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 5 years of information security experience, focusing on Endpoint Security, Incident Response, and Security Engineering
- Experience with Endpoint Security protocols and practices
- Proven ability in Incident Response within an enterprise environment
- Experience in Engineering Security Protocols
- Prior State government experience is necessary

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Knowledge of Windows and Linux systems and associated scripting languages
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud environments
- Experience with endpoint security platforms such as Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, FireEye, or CrowdStrike
- Understanding of vulnerability testing products like Windows Defender TVM or Tenable Nessus
- Relevant technical security certifications (GIAC, ISC2, CompTIA, EC Counsel) are a plus
