Security Operative (CCTV Monitoring)

To provide site security through internal and external patrolling, access/egress control, undertake CCTV control room duties and other procedures that meet site requirements and comply with Assignment Instructions, including other ad-hoc general security instructions. To carry out other duties as agreed by the Supervisor / UK Security Manager or DGF Senior Management

Key activities:

➢ Carry out general site security duties and CCTV control room duties on a rotational pattern.

➢ Prevent and deter unauthorized access to DGF sites

➢ Carry out internal and external security patrols as per instructions

➢ Operate radios, telephones, clocking equipment, and any other physical security equipment used on site.

➢ Provide traffic control and apply parking policy when required

➢ Operate stop and search policies when required

➢ Carry out initial investigations, reporting both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects and vehicles

➢ Report all issues relating to property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged or vandalized

➢ Carry out routine tests of security equipment as directed by Security Supervisor / Manager

➢ Perform locking and unlocking duties as per Assignment Instructions and / or other written / verbal instructions

➢ Ensure keys are managed in accordance with procedures laid down in the Post Instructions

➢ Ensure all equipment provided is used in accordance with procedures laid down in the Post Instructions

Skills, Experience & Qualifications:

➢ Minimum of 1 year in a related Security Operative role

➢ Evidence of good performance in the last 2 years

➢ Proven track record of good team working

➢ Good written and verbal communication skills

SIA certification is desirable but not essential

Location: London, Hayes

Hours: Shift work (4 on 4 off)

Reports To: Security Supervisor
