What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Conduct thorough security risk assessments for new technologies before deployment and technologies post-deployment
- Identify, assess, and analyze security risks and potential vulnerabilities while providing risk mitigation strategies
- Collaborate with project managers, developers, architects, and infrastructure engineers to ensure compliance with information security standards
- Communicate technical issues to business partners and senior leaders in clear, risk-related terms
- Lead small teams, mentor junior team members, and oversee third-party contractors

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 2+ years of information security experience
- 2+ years of working knowledge of common security frameworks and regulations, including NIST 800-53, ISO 27001/2, HIPAA/HITECH, HITRUST, and PCI-DSS
- 2+ years of working knowledge in Information Technology, including Cloud, access management, architecture, and endpoint security
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Solid written and verbal communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Industry-related certification such as CISSP, CISM, or CRISC
- Ability to comprehend implications of security risk and compensating controls
- Demonstrated critical thinking and knowledge of risk management processes and tools
- Experience with applications including Archer, Qualys, Checkmarx, and Prisma
- Knowledge of current security threat and vulnerability trends
