- Development of security initiatives, training opportunities, and awareness to significantly improve the overall security culture within our business.
- Implementation of solutions and initiatives based on industry benchmarking and crime forecasting to proactively reduce the risk of threat and harm towards our colleagues and customers across our business.
- Development of security operating procedures in line with legislation requirements, and generation of guidance documentation to provide further knowledge and awareness to react and respond to security-related incidents within the business.
- Establish appropriate governance routines to support project programme management and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to accelerate the progression of key security related projects and initiatives.
- Participation in external working groups and forums to actively influence on behalf of the business, gathering key information and insight that will support the delivery of security related projects and initiatives.
- Responsible for the completion of dynamic threat/risk assessments across the estate, generating associated reports that identify vulnerabilities and opportunities to improve security culture and awareness.
- Support in incident management routines and associated governance practises
- Development and implementation of scenario desktop exercises to evaluate the robustness of existing incident management routines.
- Detailed understanding of criminal investigations, processes and procedures, and the application of criminal law in a commercially operated business.
- Proven track record of successful project management. Demonstrate strong influencing skills and high levels of resilience to support successful project delivery.
- Confidence to challenge the status quo, continually looking for better ways of working and solutions.
- Comprehensive understanding of emergency services protocols and associated incident management procedures.
- Detailed knowledge of current and planned legislation and a comprehensive understanding of the project management framework techniques.
- Experience working successfully and collaboratively across different business functions and teams.
- Flexibility to specialise in a particular project or security-related initiative.
As a Security Specialist you will work collaboratively with the Corporate Security Manager to reduce the opportunity for potential threats and risks to our business being generated by proactively identifying and implementing appropriate operating procedures, security solutions, and security infrastructure across the estate. You will work cross-functionally with different business areas and external parties to influence business change and to deliver legislation requirements.
