- High school diploma or GED certificate.
- 3 years of experience and/or training in first responder, law enforcement, or security.
- 2 years of security experience in the gaming industry at a similarly sized property.
- 1 year of supervisory experience.
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered.
- Knowledge of security and surveillance systems and safety procedures.
- Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR/AED student and instructor certifications.
- Ability to obtain conflict resolution, defensive tactics, and handcuffing student and instructor certifications.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and provide a driver’s abstract that must not contain any disqualifying events per the NRWC Safe Driver Policy.
- Basic math skills.

- Pass NRWC pre-employment testing.
- Ability to work any shift including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain a Class III Gaming License.
- Casino supervisory experience.
- Bi-lingual.
- Knowledge of Tribal-State compact for Class III Gaming and Appendices.
- Table games protection knowledge.
- Ability to bend, reach, push, pull, squat and lift up to 75 lbs.
- Ability to sit, stand or continuously move for assigned shift.
- Manual and finger dexterity for operation of personal computer and routine paperwork.
- Ability to frequently to sit; stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle, feel, or grip objects; stretch and/or reach with hands and arms; stoop; kneel; crouch or work in cramped or awkward positions; repetitive motions. Must be able to continuously climb and descend stairs safely.
- Ability to tolerate a noisy, smoke-filled environment; or to be outside for long periods of time and may be exposed to the outside weather.
- Account for lost and found property in accordance with established department procedures.
- Assists with shift schedules, performance evaluations, reports, time records, documents, and equipment.
- In the absence of the Security Manager or Security Shift Manager, this role will assume supervisory responsibilities for the shift. This includes not only overseeing day-to-day operations but also performing key duties typically associated with the Security Shift Manager, such as coaching Team Members, responding to and managing incidents (to include taking guest action as needed), and coordinating with other departments to maintain smooth operations.
- Communicate essential information to Dispatchers and Emergency Personnel while maintaining professional composure and using proper terminology and etiquette.
- Conducts needs analysis for all direct report positions; and coordinates with the Security Training Supervisor for training and skill development.
- Cooperates with the regulatory agency in the investigation of criminal/civil violations and incidents.
- Creates and maintains training documentation for Lead Security Officer, Security Dispatcher, Security Officer programs.
- Follow established key control procedures without compromising the security of the casino; to include conducting investigations related to lost or missing keys or prox cards.
- Greet and monitor the activity of all guests, both internal and external while providing superior guest service. Promoting a safe, friendly environment for guests and Team Members.
- Identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication and/or drug related activity.
- Identify, assess, and assist sick or injured guests and Team Members prioritizing per triage guidelines, and provide basic first aid care.
- Maintain a working knowledge of departmental Guest Service Standards, and support incorporating these within the casino.
- Knowledge of the location, operation, and maintenance of emergency equipment that includes first aid kits, AED’s fire extinguishers, wheelchairs, etc. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of all emergency equipment.
- Maintains all files related to training and notifies team members in a timely manner to ensure that they attend required trainings.
- Observe and report security incidents, then complete detailed incident and procedural violation reports.
- Participate and qualify in various instructor-level training programs such as First Aid/CPR/AED, and training on how to resolve and handle conflict, defensive tactics, handcuffing, etc.

- Participate in the Slot Machine and Table Games drop.
- Patrol casino, safeguard property, assets, and identify and report suspicious activity to include but not limited to threats of theft, violence, intoxication, and/or drug-related activity. Oversee shift compliance with these procedures as well.
- Responsible for adherence to safety requirements and Federal OSHA regulations on their designated shift.
- Responsible for multiple projects and tasks assigned by the Security Manager/Shift Supervisor to support the overall operations of the Security department.
- Supervise other Security Officers and Security Dispatchers on shift in handling problems and incidents, including Lead Security Officers and the field-training program on the shift.
- Working knowledge and skills using the Microsoft Office Suite and technical applications related to physical security.
- Working knowledge of casino rules, policies, activities, and/or promotions in order to assist with guest inquiries.
- Working knowledge of the Casino Emergency Preparedness Action Plan and Incident Command Protocol. Act as the Incident Commander in major incidents as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for assisting with the overall supervision of the Security Department on designated shift. Assist the department leadership team with compliance with Tribal-State Compact and departmental procedures. Assist in the training of Security Officers, Security Dispatchers, & Lead Security Officers, and in promoting the safety of guests and Team Members. Work with the department leadership team, Tribal Gaming Agency, and Casino Shift Manager in handling alleged criminal activities, protecting company assets, and handling Team Member/guest incidents.
