      This position will support Send Relief ministry objectives in meeting needs and changing lives by supporting all Send Relief Puerto Rico Ministry locations (Guaynabo, Ponce and Quebradillas, San Juan) in all focus areas; strengthen communities, respond to crisis, protecting children and families, caring for refugees, and fighting human trafficking.

      Send Relief Ministry Center Consultant provides administrative and coordination support to Send Relief Ministry location in Puerto Rico, providing quality experiences to churches through mobilization and replication.

      KEY AREA OF RESPONSIBILITY & JOB DUTIES

      Logistics

      • Maintain warehouse inventory files (volunteer t-shirts, tools, materials, emergency items and backpack donations).
      • Maintain offices supplies inventory.
      • Coordinate activities of events, trainings, visits, or volunteers’ orientations.
      • Consult with SR Director and SR Coordinator to determine objectives and requirements of local events.
      • Coordinate services for events, such as accommodation, facilities, catering, signage, displays, printing materials, special needs requirements, giveaways, decorations, and general organization.
      • Provide follow up to Valor Photos and upload them in the system.

      Finance AP

      • Responsible of processing and submitting invoices from local suppliers to the Department of Account Payable. Invoices related to facilities operations (utilities, internet, maintenance, trash collection, security alarms, etc.)
      • Verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors.
      • Resolve billing discrepancies with suppliers as needed.
      • Collect weekly all SR Operations receipts.
      • Keep record of expenses and support documents on One Drive.
      • Process operations corporate credit cards expenses in Workday.

      Procurement

      • Conduct market research to request service proposals and submit them for approval (facilities maintenance services, equipment, or supplies) as needed.
      • Perform buying duties for PR SR Ministry Centers facilities maintenance supplies, equipment, and events.
      • Purchase of SR Ministry Centers maintenance supplies, equipment, events services or materials and volunteers’ meals as needed.
      • Responsible for purchasing field staff supplies or materials as needed.
      • Management of purchases in preparation for hurricane seasons.
      • Assist with purchases during a disaster as part of relief response.

      Ministry Operations

      • Support Send Relief Ministry Coordinator with networking among churches, partners, and planters i.e. vision tours, mission trips, administrative duties as needed.
      • Support Send Relief Ministry Coordinator providing practical learning environments to equip churches, partners, and individuals in contextualized compassion ministry as needed.
      • Maintain appropriate communication and positive relationships with all ministry partners contributing toward Send Relief.
      • Complete other duties and tasks as assigned by the Ministry Center leadership.

      EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Indicate below the minimum number of years of experience and level of education required to perform the essential responsibilities of the job.

      • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree and one year of experience in contextualized or cross-cultural ministry, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

      • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office.
      • Must be bilingual English and Spanish written and oral.

      COMMUNICATION SKILLS

      Ability to read and understand most complex documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints. Listening skills must be excellent with a proven ability to understand what is said and what is meant. Active listening is essential to effectively represent the ministry. Written skills must be strong and flexible. Experience writing a formal letter or report, a proposal, background briefing, memos, email communications and personal notes is strongly desired. Writing must be clear and concise. Verbal skills must be polished and professional. Clarity of expression, good organization of thoughts, effective articulation and humor are a must. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers. Ability to write articles for publication that conforms to prescribed style and format. Ability to effectively present information to top management and public groups. Candidate must be able to speak fluent Spanish.

      MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

      Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

      REASONING ABILITY

      Ability to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems. Ability to deal with nonverbal symbolism (formulas, scientific equations, graphs, musical notes, etc.,) in its basic phases. Ability to deal with a variety of abstract and concrete variables.

      OTHER SKILLS, ABILITIES, QUALIFICATIONS

      Knowledge of the NAMB continental strategy. Baptist guidelines – basic understanding of the financial structure within and among the SBC operating entities, i.e., NAMB, IMB, LifeWay, State Conventions, Seminaries, etc. Ability to travel as needed.
