      Job Description

      As part of the Ticket Sales and Service department, your focus will be to generate revenue for our nightly suite rental business and support our Gondola rentals through inbound and outbound activities. This position will also play a key role in defining our sales strategy and tactics for the premium sales business as well as supporting important marketing initiatives. As part of the premium sales team, you will also support on selling/renewing executive suite leases as well as other premium ticketing products across all MLSE properties. Additional support to be provided for full season seats, partial season seats and group ticket packages as needed.       Responsibilities in this role:

      • We are a ‘team first’ culture so your first responsibility is to be an incredible teammate. Each member of our sales team takes an equal share in developing and preserving a positive and collaborative group dynamic; this is the foundation of our success
      • Meet or exceed established annual Executive Suites and Ticket Sales revenue targets (renewals and new business)
      • Contribute to a collaborative sales culture that drives results across all properties, including the Toronto Maple Leafs, Raptors, TFC, Argonauts, Marlies, Raptors 905, Global Partnerships, Music & LIVE Events
      • Strategize and build the sales plan that achieves our overall suite rental revenue and sell-through objectives
      • Manage and sell the Nightly Gondola Rental inventory
      • Prepare and execute presentations to prospective clients
      • Nurture positive relationships with all partners involved in the sales/service process (including Legal, Finance, Ticket Administration etc)
      • Develop prospects through centers of influence, referrals and meetings
      • Prospect new business through social selling, network-mining, phone calls & live hosting opportunities
      • Track all client/prospect interactions in Salesforce
      • Successful sales results require winning behaviors. You will be required to master our CRM system as a tool to help guide your daily behaviors and measure the progression of your sales funnel.
      • Ensure customer and prospect contact with game-day sales efforts where applicable.
      • You will need to be prepared to pivot to focus as the demands of the business evolve. This could include helping with “Big Events” like All Star Games and Grey Cup celebrations
      • Perform other promotional or service functions as required
      • Lead special projects as required

      Qualifications

      • A minimum of 5 years of successful sales experience in sports and/or direct sales is preferred
      • 2+ years of experience in B2B sales with a consultative, solutions-based approach as well as a track record of over-achieving on sales KPIs
      • A self-starter with a professional demeanor and presence
      • Experience prospecting new clients through outbound calling and networking
      • Outstanding work ethic and ability to maintain integrity while working independently
      • Willingness to coach and be coached with the bravery to take risks and learn from the results
      • Highly motivated individual with a strong desire to build a career in the sports business
      • Demonstrated ability to build and develop professional relationships
      • Skillful at listening, understanding and presenting detail
      • A ‘One-Team’ approach toward departmental and company-wide goals
      • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, in non-traditional settings
      • Effective interpersonal, presentation and communication skills
      • Confident user of Microsoft 360 - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
      • TicketMaster and/or ARCHTICS knowledge is an asset but not essential
      • Proficient with Salesforce
      • A preference for the team approach to selling
      • Available to work evenings, weekends and holidays as the need arises
