What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate the billing and follow-up process between the organization, payers, and patients
- Process claims, payments, adjustments, refunds, denials, and unpaid patient and insurance balances
- Serve as a liaison with insurance companies and administrative personnel
- Analyze incoming financial data to identify and resolve reimbursement issues
- Maintain accurate account documentation and demographic information
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic knowledge of revenue cycle processes
- Ability to interpret ICD-10-CM/PCS coding classification systems
- Proficiency in data entry and information transcribing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with MS-DRG and APR-DRG payment systems
- Strong analytical skills to identify patterns in financial data
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting
