      Description:

      We are seeking an experienced accountant to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, analytical, and possess a strong understanding of accounting principles. This responsibility includes but not limited to reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures. The Senior Accountant duties include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all of our accounting tasks. This position offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment and make a meaningful impact on the financial health of our organization.

      Responsibilities:

      • Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including general ledger entries and account reconciliations
      • Perform regular reconciliations of bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of transactions
      • Conduct mid-level general-ledger account reconciliations, verify accuracy of data, and identify and correct errors made by internal and external personnel
      • Support monthly, quarterly, half-year, and year-end financial closes, including assigned journal entries, balance-sheet account reconciliations, accruals, and overall maintenance of operational management accounts
      • Assist in providing schedules and commentary for operational management account results and variances, and for the production of working-capital cash-flow reports
      • Maintain and update records and reports for profit and loss, taxes, liabilities, and assets
      • Manage investment accounts, including tracking transactions, calculating returns, and providing regular reports on investment performance
      • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
      • Have a strong knowledge of reconciling investment statements to the general ledger
      • Support external audits by preparing for the audit, providing requested documentation, and explanations as needed. Prepare special financial reports, when requested by senior managers, by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends

      Requirements:

      • Professional experience in accounting
      • Knowledge of general and not for profit accounting and corporate finance principles and procedures
      • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize effectively
      • Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information
      • Desire to continue professional growth and training
      • A detailed oriented and have a good judgement
      • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, CPA preferred
      • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP Experience in audit accounting
      • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and not for profit accounting
      • Experience with accounting software (Sage) preferred, and Excel
      • Strong technical skills
      • Knowledge of Sales Force preferred
      • Excellent organizational skills and attention to details
      • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team.
