What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

- Perform accounting functions, including maintaining balance sheet GL accounts and reviewing income statement GL accounts
- Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements and variance reports
- Support annual external audit and prepare schedules for compliance or tax audits
- Assist with testing system reports and creating summary reports for management
- Assist with banking activities, including creating new accounts and investment portfolio reporting

What is Required (Qualifications):

- Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Strong analytical and accounting skills
- Intermediate to advanced experience with MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and accounting software
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum six years of accounting experience at the senior level

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

- Experience in the property and casualty insurance industry
- Proficiency in Sage and iSolved software
