What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain the integrity of business governance and internal control frameworks, ensuring compliance with SOX and MAR
- Act as the subject matter expert on projects, ensuring accounting and internal control objectives are met
- Manage internal controls for Corporate Accounting processes, including documentation and testing
- Oversee the organization's SOX testing program and assist in identifying risks and controls
- Develop training materials for stakeholders impacted by process changes and control implementations

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience plus 6+ years of relevant experience
- Strong knowledge of the rules of Sarbanes-Oxley and Model Audit Rule
- Internal controls experience required
- Strong project management skills and ability to communicate findings clearly
- Ability to work collaboratively and guide internal control efforts

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- CPA or other applicable certifications
- Informal leadership experience in guiding teams
- Insurance or investment accounting experience
- IT general controls experience and/or IT experience
- Knowledge of operational risks
