      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Participate in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)
      - Assemble and issue Requests for Quotes (RFQs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
      - Assist the Contracting Officer in developing acquisition strategies and negotiating procurements
      - Conduct cost and price analysis on contractor proposals and validate overhead and labor rates
      - Review incoming invoices for compliance and maintain contract files and documentation

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial and criminal checks
      - 10+ years of acquisition experience, with a Bachelor’s degree preferred
      - Strong understanding of the contracting lifecycle and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
      - Experience supporting multi-functional technical teams for large, complex programs
      - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

      How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
      - 3+ years of experience with DHS Acquisition
      - DAWIA, FAC, or NCMA Contracting or Program Management Certifications
      - 3+ years as a warranted Level II contracting officer
      - Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
      - Demonstrated understanding of DHS HSAR for government contract administration
