What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in the preparation and review of Statements of Work (SOWs) and Statements of Objectives (SOOs)
- Participate in the issuance of Requests for Quotes (RFQ) and Requests for Proposals (RFP)
- Evaluate Change Requests and prepare Task Order modifications and support documents
- Provide support in contract administration, including invoice compliance and subcontract requests
- Conduct cost and price analysis on contractor proposals and maintain associated documentation
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Ability to pass a government background investigation; U.S. citizenship required
- 10+ years of acquisition experience; Bachelor’s degree preferred (additional experience may substitute)
- Strong understanding of the contracting lifecycle and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Knowledge of federal and agency laws, regulations, and procedures related to acquisition
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 3+ years of experience with DHS Acquisition
- Contracting or Program Management Certifications (DAWIA, FAC, NCMA)
- 3+ years of experience as a warranted Level II contracting officer
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
