What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as the primary liaison between product underwriters and the Risk and Analytics team
- Lead the development and communication of actuarial products, including rate adequacy studies and trend analysis
- Support product knowledge in reserving, portfolio economics, and business plan development
- Identify and develop innovative data products to assist underwriters in risk selection and pricing
- Evaluate product opportunities and prepare analyses for senior management presentations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Three to five years of experience in Property & Casualty (P&C) Commercial Lines
- Minimum of 3-5 actuarial exams passed
- Strong communication skills for conveying complex technical concepts to various stakeholders
- Proven ability to apply advanced analytics in practical scenarios
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and VBA, along with working knowledge of SQL
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience specifically in Excess & Surplus lines
- Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and data management solutions
- Advanced degree in a STEM field
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R or Python
