Administrative Duties - Manage the Market Vice President's appointment scheduling as required, by accurately coordinating and prioritizing daily activities, which will support client facing activities. Assist the team in improving Client Satisfaction/Loyalty through supporting Relationship Manager's in fulfilling client needs in a timely manner.
Travel Arrangement & Expense Reporting - Expense report administration; ensure expense accounts are prepared for the Team in a timely fashion and receipts are provided to substantiate and validate charges.
Professional Support - Adhere to CIBC's stated governance and regulatory control environment to include support of Business Risk Officer activities , Business Continuity Schedule, and Records Retention schedule.
Technology - Support the Calgary Independent Business & Mid-Market Commercial Banking teams on technology requests, onboarding new employees and changes as required.
You’re a strong communicator. You have excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills to interact with a wide range of individuals in a wide range of situations, which usually requires tact, diplomacy, and discretion.
You’re an experienced administrative professional. You have 1-2 years of experience as an Administrative Assistant in a highly professional, confidential and fast-paced environment.
You’re digitally proficient . You have strong command of MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
You know that details matter. You notice things that others don't. Your critical thinking skills help to inform your decision making.

What you'll be doing
As an Administrative Assistant, you'll be responsible to support executives and coordinate a department’s administrative activities, apply extensive knowledge of the job to provide support at an advanced level. You'll make decisions on methods to complete administrative tasks, organize an office using independent judgement, discretion and diplomacy and make day-to-day administrative and operational decisions. You'll apply independent interpretation of policies on new projects and assignments, prepare correspondence, memos, minutes and reports from verbal instructions or other preparatory material. You'll provide guidance to others on non-routine issues, manage small special events or projects, coordinate meetings and develop administrative procedures and processes.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Pay range - $40,000 - $50,000 per annum
