      Pragmatics Inc. is seeking a Senior Airport Civil Engineer to support its direct client. The position is based in Washington DC Metro Area but remote work is possible.

      The Senior Airport Civil Engineer will be the subject matter expert in aspects of airport civil engineering and will provide technical support for airport civil engineering issues and recommendations to the COR. The Senior Airport Civil Engineer will provide technical support for FAA software systems (e.g., Taxiway Fillet Design Tools (FAA and ICAO versions, via MS Excel/Visual Basic (VBA)), Taxiway Design Tool for High-Speed Exits (via MS Excel), Taxiway Design Tool for Multiple Turns (via MS Excel), FAA wind analysis program) to revise or improve these tools as the relevant airport design standards are updated.

          • Airports Geospatial Information System (GIS) and the Airport Data and Information Portal (ADIP)
          • Emerging Entrants (unmanned aircraft, commercial space, urban/advanced air mobility, human spaceflight, etc.)
          • Airspace (TERPS, Part 77, FAA’s Airport Design)
          • ICAO Aerodrome Design criteria

      Requirements

      Qualifications and Education Requirements:

      • Undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering and 15 years of Airport Civil Engineering experience.
      • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
      • Proficient with Microsoft Office365, SharePoint, and Excel skills.
      • Detail-oriented with ability to execute multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
      • Desire and drive to learn, grow, and advance within the industry.
      • Secret clearance
      • Preferred Skills:

      • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
      • Professional Document writing skill or editing experience (for white papers, etc.)
      • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint on Windows-based computers
