Senior Analyst - Strategic Growth Finance

      Stockholm /
Finance – Financial Planning and Analysis /
      Permanent
      / Hybrid
Spotify is looking for an outstanding Senior Analyst to join its Financial Planning and Analysis team within the Finance organization. You will be part of the group working on strategic initiatives crafted to drive incremental revenue and user growth. This includes business casing and financial analysis, forecasting our baseline growth and the impact of initiatives, as well as tracking results through dashboards and reports.

This role provides an exciting opportunity to work closely with the teams forming Spotify’s business strategy, delivering on our company mission to unlock the potential of human creativity—by giving a million creative artists the opportunity to live off their art and billions of fans the opportunity to enjoy and be encouraged by it.

      What You'll Do

      • Work closely together with our forecasting teams to understand assumptions and identify risks and opportunities associated with subscriber, MAU and revenue projections
      • Analyze trends and variances in user growth, understand root causes, and communicate to executive leadership
      • Work with and manipulate large sets of data, translating complex topics and insights into simple terms and recommendations to a variety of audiences to inform decision making
      • Craft and develop custom analyses and models to answer strategic business questions; very little of what you do will be standard, out-of-the-box analysis
      • Define targets for KPIs that drive optimal business outcomes

      Who You Are

      • 4+ years of professional working experience, preferably in management/operational consulting, investment banking, or FP&A / Strategic Planning / Analytics at a technology company
      • Bachelor’s degree in Business or another quantitative field; Master’s degree is preferred
      • Strong spreadsheet and modeling skills are table stakes; competence with SQL and visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) is a plus
      • Ambition, curiosity and a willingness to tackle loosely defined problems, often without perfect information
      • Sharp attention to detail but an eye towards using the 80/20 rule to address problems, including the ability to communicate and empathize across a wide range of audiences, spanning on-the-ground to senior-level stakeholders
      • Very strong project management, planning and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead on multiple projects simultaneously and deliver work under tight timelines

      Where You'll Be

      • Hybrid role based in our Stockholm, Sweden offices (Minimum 2 days a week is required).
      • Working hours? We operate within the GMT time zone for collaboration.
