What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Respond to plan inquiries and requests from clients
- Calculate and process timely payment of termination, retirement, and death benefits for medium-sized plans
- Support client relationships and coordinate information flow between clients and trustees
- Reconcile plan assets and memberships
- Prepare year-end pension statements and assist with special projects as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 to 5 years of Defined Benefit pension administration experience
- Post-secondary education in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related courses
- Advanced knowledge of Defined Benefit pension plans and relevant legislation
- Experience in reviewing pension calculations and member transactions
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a focus on client service
