      Join our Lovelace Health System team as a PACS Administrator / RIS Senior Application Analyst!

      Lovelace Health System (LHS) is comprised of Lovelace Medical Group/New Mexico Heart Institute, New Mexico Heart Institute, Lovelace Women’s Hospital, Lovelace Medical Center, Heart Hospital of New Mexico at Lovelace Medical Center, Lovelace Westside Hospital, Lovelace Regional Hospital and Lovelace UNM Rehabilitation Hospital. Across its five hospitals, 51 health care clinics and seven outpatient therapy clinics, LHS has 619 inpatient beds and employs a team of more than 3,900, including more than 263 health care providers.

      Ardent Health Services owns and operates Lovelace Health System. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Ardent Health Services includes 30 hospitals and more than 200 sites of care.

      POSITION SUMMARY

      The overall responsibility of the PACS Administrator / RIS Senior Application Analyst is to provide functional support, design, instruction, oversight and guidance of the Radiology and Cardiology PACS applications. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing system strategies with management and other stakeholders, conducting business needs analyses, identifying and mitigating project risks, supporting the applications users and assisting in the implementation of Ancillary services application projects.


      Responsibilities

      Analysis and Solution Definition

      • Install and provide support to PACs/CPACs hardware/software and monitor all complex application administration and perform all testing/troubleshooting to ensure proper functionality for all.
      • Coordinate with radiologists/cardiologists on system changes/enhancements and administer everyday activities of the PACS/CPACs systems.
      • Maintain and oversee user access requests and system security administration for all PACs/CPACs software.
      • Develop functional requirements, specifications and system design specifications for business requests.
      • Coordinate with vendors and various departments to resolve all issues, upgrades and system replacements.
      • Creates and maintains detailed test plans and scripts.
      • Lead testing efforts and ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
      • Monitor all system performance and ensure maintenance of all quality control programs is completed.
      • Provide training to all new and current users for all PACs/CPACs systems as needed.

      • Evaluates current state processes and identifies gaps to future state process around utilization of applications to maximize departmental and organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

      Qualifications

      Education:

      Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent business experience, required in clinical or healthcare industry.

      Experience:

      • At least 3 years’ experience in using or supporting Radiology or Cardiology PACS that integrates with an inpatient electronic medical record.
      • Experience in Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
      • Experience designing and supporting the following Cardiology/Radiology / PACS Systems are preferred: (1) Change Healthcare, Sectra, Fuji; (2) Philips Xper, GE MacLab; (3) Philips ECG, GE Muse
      • Proven project manager of medium to large projects of 4-8 team members, with experience managing: (1) Standard work breakdown structure; (2) Resources and critical path; (3) Project scope; (4) Issues identification and oversight; (5) Change control processes

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

      • Expertise in a minimum of two clinical application modules/applications as a super user or IT&S analyst
      • Proven ability to understand business and clinical issues and objectives as well as the ability to translate them into application solutions.
      • Possesses understanding in the areas of application configuration and database concepts.
      • Understands Internet, Intranet, and client/server architectures.
      • Excellent communication skills.
