Senior Business Analyst

Senior Business Analyst position with Capital One Services, LLC in Northern VA; Multiple positions available:

- Conduct research, prepare reports, and analyze economic data to develop and shape business strategies.

- Analyze business problems, and compile, analyze, and report data as part of economic impact research and analysis based on new and existing econometric data.

- Based on the results of the research, develop strategies for managing products or markets and devise and manage business development strategies in order to maximize returns and increase efficiency.

- Perform statistical and other quantitative and qualitative analyses utilizing analytic software tools and applications, relational databases, statistical modeling, and regression analysis to develop strategic business insights.

- Provide advice on economic impact of new conditions and develop economic forecasts and drive business insights.

- Collaborate as independent contributor with cross functional teams to implement strategies across a product or market.

- Assist with ad hoc analytical projects, including economic impact assessment, quantitative and qualitative analytics, and statistical modeling of econometric data.

- Prepare presentations of complex economic concepts and research results to non-specialist audience and senior management.

The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Finance, Engineering, Information Technology, Analytics, Mathematics, Science, Business Administration, or a related quantitative field, and the following skill set through education or work experience: business strategy development; quantitative and qualitative analysis; Python, SQL, or R; relational databases; statistical modeling; regression analysis; and presentation of complex economic concepts and research results to non-specialist audience. Must pass company’s assessment.
