      Title and Summary

      Senior Business Analyst

      Overview:
      • This is a Senior Analyst role responsible for supporting the analysis and implementation of product, system and operational initiatives supporting changes in Mastercard's business environment with a specialized focus on Settlement Service offerings, settlement/liquidity risks, controls, policies, and operations.
      • Liaise between the business and IT, eliciting and translating external and internal customer needs into IT objectives, identifying possible solutions, and defining project requirement.
      • Have a deep knowledge of customer needs, products and services.


      Role:
      • Manages medium-sized projects/initiatives as an individual contributor with knowledge in global payments and settlement discipline, leading a segment of several initiatives or contributing to a larger initiative.
      • Translates communicated customer needs into specific objectives.
      • Identifies solutions for less complex, more common issues.
      • Defines settlement project requirements and priorities, estimates necessary resources and develops detailed selection evaluation criteria.
      • Coordinates impact to vendor and company workflow for a new product
      • Understands business context and market dynamics including Regulatory, Legal, Competitive and Technology landscapes.
      • Leverages a thorough understanding of the Agile Software Development Lifecycle methodology to partner with Product Management – Technical and Software Development Guilds to develop scalable and sustainable products.
      • Partners with and incorporates feedback from cross-functional stakeholders.
      • Drive institutionalized knowledge with consistent product documentation (e.g., support documents) across the framework



      All About You:
      • Moderate professional experience in financial services, cards, payments or another related field
      • Understands MasterCard’s product delivery process
      • Experience working at MasterCard facilities and on Customer business locations
      • Analysis or testing experience required
      • Experience building relationships and working with technical, business and financial partners
      Skills/ Abilities:
      • Must possess good verbal and written communication skills.
      • Strong understanding of software methodologies (i.e. functionality & limitations)
      • Requires less supervision.
      • Good leadership skills preferred.
      Education
      • Bachelors in Finance or similar field or equivalent work experience required.

      In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
