Job Description As a Senior Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting Westfield Insurance with quantitative and qualitative analysis, evaluating alternatives, and making recommendations. This role within the Analytic Insights and Reporting organization will collaborate with business partners to access/extract business data to analyze key business issues and use strong P&C knowledge and experience, combined with the knowledge and experience of appropriate tools, technologies and techniques to perform moderate to complex analysis.

Responsibilities - Leads the delivery of analytics and insights to leaders and other business stakeholders.
- Strong understanding of Underwriting, Sales, and Claims leadership need of insights, interpret outcomes and develop insights to meet the growing need.
- Performs data analysis, data profiling and data sourcing utilizing knowledge of data definitions, domain values, data relationships, business rules, data sources and the enterprise integrated data environment.
- Analyzes impacts of planned new application development or enhancements to existing applications, dashboards, and the enterprise integrated data environment.
- Analyzes and identifies data quality concerns or cleansing opportunities to correct data quality anomalies and facilitate resolution between technical, business, and other stakeholders.
- Uses quantitative and qualitative analyzes to guide findings and advise recipients on potential impacts and alternatives and make recommendations.
- Collaborates with business partners and fosters collaboration with key partners across the organization.
- Supports regulatory, legal, and other state reporting needs.
- Develops requirements for Insurance Business Unit data needs and maintains accurate procedural documentation and reference materials and identifies opportunities for process improvement and supports process improvement efforts.
- Applies knowledge and experience of appropriate tools, technologies and techniques to perform moderate to complex analyses.
- Identifies potential data sources and selects appropriate data based on business requirements and extracts and prepares data to ensure the most complete and high-quality data is used.
- Discover and share results effectively with Business clients, other analysts and leaders and be able to manage multiple deliverables effectively.
Qualifications - 5-7 years of overall experience in Data Science and Analytics or a related field in a Property and Casualty insurance company.
- Knowledge of data extraction tools such SQL and Python and other tools such as Advanced Excel and Power BI.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Statistics, or Business Analytics.
- Claims Analytics experience with Guidewire Claims knowledge highly desirable.
