What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Calculate, prepare, and develop premium quotations following corporate underwriting guidelines
- Analyze and review prospective accounts for insurability and determine appropriate pricing
- Develop new business and retention of existing business in a designated territory
- Address agents’ and policyholders’ concerns and work with internal departments to resolve issues
- Participate in promotional plans and represent the employer at industry events

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, insurance, or a related field
- Minimum three years of experience in an insurance organization with technical knowledge in underwriting or related areas
- Demonstrated experience in workers’ compensation or property and casualty insurance
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Proficiency in using computers and company-standard software

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certification or progress toward certification in insurance is highly preferred
- Experience with loss prevention or auditing in an insurance context
- Ability to negotiate effectively while establishing rapport with clients
- Knowledge of jurisdictional workers’ compensation laws
- Capability to analyze agency performance and develop corrective action plans
