What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Serve as a key liaison among IT, customers, and management to ensure effective communication about IT security capabilities
- Negotiate and address IT security requirements with customers, clarifying the necessity of security measures
- Advise management on modifying IT-related processes to comply with contracts, laws, and regulations
- Conduct detailed analyses of customer contracts and RFP requirements to address IT impacts
- Monitor and advocate for necessary IT policy or infrastructure changes based on evolving regulatory or customer needs

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in business functional areas and IT infrastructure
- Strong professional writing and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite
- Thorough knowledge of information security concepts and capabilities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Understanding of data center operations, virtual servers, and data/application hosting
- Knowledge of business continuity and disaster recovery concepts
- Familiarity with regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH, GLBA, PCI, and EU Data Privacy
- Advanced knowledge of specific IT security controls and infrastructure used by the employer
- Strong project management skills to coordinate activities of diverse teams
