      PRIMARY OBJECTIVES

      Produce clear legible drawings using AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civils 3D software in accordance with company standards.

      RESPONSIBILITIES

      • Assist senior staff by producing clear legible drawings to company standards.
      • Document control of all information received from external sources ensuring the latest information is always easily found.
      • Integrate Quality Assurance procedures, Health and Safety (CDM) and company standards.
      • Liaise with other members of the design team in-house and occasionally the Architect and contractor to coordinate a design package.
      • Assist in maintaining BIM and CAD standards for BES civils.

      TECHNICAL SKILLS

      Ability to use the following software competently and independently.

        • Autodesk Computer Aided Design Civils 3D.
        • Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
        • Knowledge of NavisWorks
        • Knowledge of Revit
      • Basic understanding of building elements, structure, foundation options and external works.
      • Good understanding of below ground drainage, attenuation, flow control, SuDS features and pollution control.
      • Basic understanding of below ground services which may include Power, Water and telecommunications.
      • Basic understanding of the construction design team, tender and construction process.
      • Experience and understanding of urban road design.
      • Experience with undertaking cut and fill proposals.
      • Interpretation of the following, but not limited to, in designs.
        • topographical surveys
        • underground utility surveys
        • Site and building floor plans.
      • BIM
        • Understanding of BIM and providing input into BIM execution plans and protocols
        • Knowledge of BIM levels 1 and 2 and the required compliance.

      • To be able to work as part as a team and collaboratively and co-operatively.
      • Able to establish rapport and good working relationships within the project team and Clients.
