What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a diverse inventory of claims, focusing on pollution losses and commercial general liability
- Investigate claims by reviewing coverage, liability, and securing necessary documentation
- Work towards resolution of claims, attending arbitrations, mediations, and trials as needed
- Ensure timely and accurate claims payments and compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Develop expertise in specific products and lines of business, providing strategic recommendations to management
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 - 5+ years of experience handling general liability and/or commercial auto losses
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent is necessary
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to analyze policy coverages and manage the claims handling process
- Proven ability to maintain professionalism in complex situations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in the insurance industry, particularly with pollution losses or green energy market
- Familiarity with claims trends and their impact on underwriting and marketing strategies
- Experience in attending legal proceedings related to claims
