What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Drive internal and external audits by gathering, organizing, and preparing compliance documentation and artifacts
- Track and manage requirements, deadlines, and action plans for projects within the Compliance Program
- Assess and validate systems and processes to ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks
- Lead risk management initiatives by identifying and categorizing risks
- Develop and deliver training and awareness materials for compliance education
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: college or university degree in a related field
- Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline
- Knowledge of information security, IT, and/or GRC programs
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior work experience in information assurance or GRC-related roles
- Proven understanding of compliance frameworks like NIST RMF, HIPAA, and GDPR
- Experience in assessing security controls for cloud-based environments
- Familiarity with version control systems, especially git and GitHub
- Additional cybersecurity certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, ISACA CISA)
