What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist in maintaining the employer's Compliance Program and provide regulatory interpretation
- Manage compliance reporting responsibilities and respond to inquiries from state and federal regulatory agencies
- Review and synthesize regulatory requirements to create policy and/or position statements
- Perform periodic compliance audits, risk assessments, and conduct ongoing compliance monitoring activities
- Serve as a company-wide resource and liaison on policies, contract issues, and quality improvement initiatives

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree in a related legal field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3 years of related experience in compliance privacy and/or regulatory affairs
- Experience in project management with knowledge of laws and/or regulations in compliance, particularly HIPAA and state regulations
- Master's or Juris Doctorate degree preferred and may be considered in lieu of experience
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in managing relationships with regulatory agencies
- Proven ability to develop and conduct compliance training programs
- Familiarity with compliance auditing and monitoring strategies
- Previous experience in health plan compliance officer responsibilities
- Knowledge of ethics and compliance project management
