Overview: Senior Systems Administrator position is responsible for managing the implementations, maintenance and day to day activities of the Symitar Core Banking System and all its interfaces and key ancillary applications.

• Core banking system release management, AIX patch management, service pack deployment, system backups, system recovery and daily routine maintenance
• Senior experience with core banking processing platforms such as Symitar, Correlation or DNA
• Coordinates and provides a consultative support to the day-to-day functioning of core banking processes and ancillary applications to business stakeholders
• Senior SME on core banking modules, automation, and configuration
• Manage application-related incident and enhancement request and initiates corrective action\
• Configures and deploys third party data integration between the core banking server and vendor solutions including (but not limited to) SymConnect and SymXchange
• Documents procedures and resource documentation, and records system changes for troubleshooting and auditing
• Analyze and deploy process automation with OpCon job scheduler
• Coordinates the testing and communications of system updates to core banking system, interfaces, and key ancillary systems
• Provides 24x7x365 support for critical core banking applications and ancillary applications
• Performs effective change management
• Assist in Business Continuity planning and exercises for core banking ecosystem recovery
• Provides 2nd and 3rd level technical support and responds to incidents as appropriate
• Assist with internal and external IT audits related to core systems data controls, change management, and third party integration security
• Performs additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Highly ethical and maintains the highest level of integrity with a member/internal customer first mentality
• Team player with proactive, customer first outlook
• Keeps abreast of industry developments including but not limited to changes in regulations and technology
• Ensures adherence to company policies and procedures and Credit Union regulations
• Adheres to assigned request within the desired time frame upon the initial request and/or expectations

• Promotes and maintains a positive work atmosphere by communicating in a manner consistent and professional standards to work effectively with members, co-workers, management, and vendors

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science field, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent
• 5+ years of experience in the financial services industry with a thorough knowledge of financial principles, front and back office processing and financial institution regulations
• Knowledge of JHA products or equivalent
• Advance knowledge of secure file transmission and standard ftp clients
• 10+ years Senior Systems Analyst experience on projects of small to medium in size and complexity, with demonstrated experience in workflow/process analysis, requirements gathering and documentation, and creation and execution of testing plans
• Senior experience administering and maintaining IBM P Series and VIOS
• Senior experience with LAN/WAN networking and networking security
• Senior experience with OPCON Job Scheduler
• Experience writing automation scripts
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Productivity tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
