What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide expert communication and consultative support to the Department of Veterans Affairs regarding system security certification and accreditation.
- Create security-specific documentation, including Incident Response and Disaster Recovery processes.
- Support Authority to Operate (ATO) processes by developing necessary artifacts and implementing security controls.
- Conduct thorough analyses of authorization documents to identify gaps and coordinate with stakeholders to address outstanding requirements.
- Utilize security evaluation tools to analyze systems and identify potential vulnerabilities.

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields.
- ISC2 CISSP certification required.
- One or more additional certifications such as IAT II, IAM II, or IASAE II.
- Minimum of 5 years of Information Security experience, with at least 3 years in Cybersecurity and Cloud Security at a large government agency.
- Proven experience in leading security and privacy activities and documenting cybersecurity requirements using the Risk Management Framework.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective stakeholder interaction.
- Experience with SAFe/Agile methodologies.
- Ability to obtain a government clearance.
