- Degree in a relevant discipline or relevant experience to an equivalent
- Masters degree in a relevant discipline
- Experience of handling, analysing and manipulating large, complex datasets
- Experience in highly specialist application software and programming languages
- Experience of working with NHS datasets, and knowledge of the NHS data dictionary definitions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, an ability to communicate complex issues in a simplified way
- The ability to act on own initiative and meet tight deadlines
- Excellent programming skills in SQL or equivalen
- Understanding of the workings of a Mental and Community Health provider organisation
- Knowledge of Quality Improvement

Job summary
This is an exciting role to join a multi-award winning department - Driving Change Through Data and Analytics, HSJ Digital Awards 2024.
The role involves the production of detailed analytics reports from a variety of Trust data sources across the full spectrum of Trust services.
The post holder will have excellent data analysis skills and the ability to present complex data to support the trusts objectives and the needs of the population we serve.
The post holder will analyse data from a range of Trust systems and present an integrated view of information to support contract monitoring, performance management, and the implementation of key policy agendas.
The post holder will be supported by a strategic training plan based on NHS England's National Competency Framework
Main duties of the job
The ability to analyse and interpret complex data and information from a variety of sources and formats into information that is consistent, accurate, relevant and appropriate for use by a variety of audiences
To provide analytics for the trusts key stakeholders, including front line staff, corporate functions and central bodies.
To understand and support the Trust's quality improvement programme
