What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead data science initiatives from inception to deployment, integrating various human performance and runner behavior data
- Identify business improvement opportunities and support strategies through data modeling related to run performance
- Collaborate with enterprise data teams to create self-service data pipelines for the Run Research Team
- Manage data accessibility, cleaning, and optimization for research team members
- Translate complex research findings into actionable insights for senior executives
What is Required (Qualifications):
- M.Sc. in Computer Science, Data Science, or related field with 5+ years of relevant work experience, or Bachelors with 7+ years
- 7+ years of experience with data management tools and relational database systems
- Advanced experience with human subject data and statistical analysis
- Proven leadership capabilities and experience managing direct reports
- Expert knowledge of database technologies and data visualization techniques
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 1+ year of experience managing direct reports
- Experience with tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, and PowerBI
- Strong programming skills in Python, SQL, MATLAB, or similar
- Proven track record of leading data science initiatives in the athletic performance sector
