      Overview

      As a Senior Database Administrator, you will administer and control the organization's data resources using Relational Database Management Systems and/or other DBMS tools. You will work closely with Application Developers, Data Analysts, and Data Architect teams to ensure data integrity and security, eliminate redundancy and identify ways to improve database performance. In addition, you will be responsible for advising, making recommendations and implementing processes and procedure improvements for our database infrastructure environment.

      Responsibilities

      In this job you will:

      • Work with Application Developers, Data Analysts and/or Data Architects to review logical and physical data models, ensuring data integrity and security, eliminating redundancy and improving database performance
      • Construct and maintain databases based on the logical data model and physical database designs
      • Monitor and tune production databases
      • Provide 24/7 support for a variety of production databases through participation in on-call responsibilities shared among the DBA staff. In critical situations, this responsibility may require working evening or weekend hours
      • Prepare project work plans and project time and cost estimates for the manager's review/approval. Lead or oversee work activities assigned to Database Administration staff
      • Lead/participate in the development and administration of logical, physical and database-specific data standards
      • Maintain knowledge of and assist in training others in new technologies related to data management

      This is the job for you if:

      • You have exceptional experience in Oracle 19c and SQL Server Administration
      • You hold certifications
      • You are used to working in a 24/7, on-call environment, flexible working off hours and weekend hours
      • You have experience working with challenging and dynamic business users and DEV teams
      • You have experience with managing and migrating databases to AWS and other cloud environments
      • You have HealthCare Industry experience
      • You are used to working in a fast-paced production & non-production environments

      Qualifications

      You should get in touch if:

      • You have 8-10 years related database administration experience
      • You have strong experience with Oracle 11g and 12c, 19C including partitioning, compression, TDE, Data Guard, RMAN, RAC, Oracle Database cloning in RAC and Non-RAC Environments, OEM/Grid Control
      • You have experience with SQL Server database administration, database maintenance, replication, log shipping, performance tuning, TDE, SSMS, SSIS, SSRS
      • You have experience in implementing operation automation using scripts such as KRON and PowerShell and Python
      • You have experience with VLDB and HA techniques
      • You can manage multiple tasks, be detail oriented, responsive, and demonstrate independent thought and critical thinking
      • You remain calm under pressure and use a pragmatic approach to problem solving
      • You have demonstrated strong strong technical skills, are eager to learn and are a team player
