What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain software and DBMS environments in compliance with STIG and/or SRG, including applying necessary security patches and maintaining documentation
- Ensure adherence to departmental SOPs, including updating and maintaining tickets and documentation
- Install, customize, upgrade, and maintain Database Management Systems (DBMS) software on mainframe platforms running z/OS
- Provide root cause analysis (RCA) reports and lead mitigation efforts for outages
- Utilize SMP/E to install software as a lead technician and support database migration and upgrades

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Must have an active Secret Clearance
- Currently possess one of the IAT Level 1 certifications: A+CE, CCNA-Security, Network+ CE, or SSCP
- Experience with IBM SMP/E environment and lead technician software installation
- Strong understanding of DBMS and experience with software upgrades and migrations
- Ability to analyze outages and provide RCA reports

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with government contracts or in a government-related environment
- Familiarity with compliance standards such as STIG and SRG
- Knowledge of mainframe computer platforms and z/OS systems
- Previous experience in a lead technician role or project management
- Strong presentation skills for reporting to management
