      CareMessage is seeking a talented and experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Senior DevOps Engineer at CareMessage, you will create and maintain a highly scalable and reliable Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure utilizing industry best practices.       In this position, you will play a key role in the development of automation, security, and scalability in our infrastructure. Example projects may include: improving our already solid infrastructure to support continued growth, identifying areas for reducing security risks, enhancing developer workflows and deployment speeds, and optimizing performance to continually improve CareMessage and the product we provide our customers.

      Requirements
      • Multiple years of experience in at least three professional roles as a DevOps Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, Site Reliability Engineer, or similar Systems Administrator role
      • Strong Linux system administration skillsProficiency in one or more development languages, preferably Ruby or Python
      • Extensive experience maintaining production infrastructures on Google Cloud Platform, AWS or Azure ( GCP strongly preferred as we use GCP)
      • Experience with configuration management and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
      • Professional experience with software containers (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
      • Experience working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL)
      • Knowledge of and experience developing infrastructure that adheres to HIPAA security and compliance standards (experience with additional healthcare security frameworks is a bonus)
      • Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and CircleCI

      Nice to have:
      • Experience with firewall network appliances


      Job Responsibilities
      • Lead engineering projects from start to finish, where the beginning scope is somewhat understood
      • Design, implement, and continuously improve our cloud infrastructure and related processes with a focus on automation, security, and creating a highly available, self-scaling redundant infrastructure
      • Develop and maintain backup mechanisms for production environments and test disaster recovery procedures
      • Participate in the on-call rotation, assist with triaging and resolving production issues, and respond to incidents
      • Assist engineering team members in using our infrastructure and automation services and solutions
      • Collaborate with engineering, leadership, and cross-functional teams to meet business goals
      • Mentor and provide feedback to team members and other engineers
      • Stay up to date on best practices, new technologies, and relevant industry trends
      • Build and secure our multi-tenant environments across software, processes, and infrastructure
      • Automate and deploy a self-scaling, redundant infrastructure


      Within 1 Month You'll:
      • Be able to complete a demo of our product and walk through our infrastructure
      • Become familiar with our backlog of projects tied to scalability and security
      • Begin developing automated infrastructure setup scripts


      Within 3 Months You'll:
      • Understand the CareMessage product development process and key policies and procedures
      • Participate in the on-call rotation and assist with triaging alerts
      • Demonstrate understanding of how to recover our infrastructure according to our disaster recovery plan
      • Develop and deliver solutions for monitoring, availability, performance, analytics, and security


      Within 6 Month You'll:
      • Identify areas of opportunity for improvement, contribute to our backlog, and deliver solutions
      • Have delivered security enhancements and automated manual processes
      • Play a critical role in ensuring our 24x7 availability and recovery capabilities, addressing production issues as necessary
      • Contribute to strategic improvements in our development infrastructure

      Compensation Details:


      This role is currently set at an L3 DevOps Engineer level, equivalent to someone who has held two or more DevOps Engineering roles with multiple years of experience and is highly proficient in their craft.


      Our salary allocation for this role is $165,000
