- Work with HEL system technology and beam control, including laser safety, thermal management of the laser and beam train, and atmospheric propagation.
- Familiarity with performance testing of integrated HEL systems both in laboratory and outdoor environments.
- Work with high power microwave system technology and HPM subsystems to include power generation and antennas.
- Familiarity with performance testing of integrated HPM systems both in laboratory and outdoor testing environments.
- Perform system engineering of directed energy system programs. This includes; modelling, simulation and analysis, requirements analysis, and system and subsystem specification generation.
- Interact with Government and Industry DE professionals in the performance of these duties.
- 20+ years of experience in electro-optical system engineering or high power radio-frequency system engineering
- Familiarity with on-going US DoD directed energy weapon development programs.
- 3+ years of experience in project management or technical direction of technology development programs.
- Possess ability to interact with multiple personnel to resolve issues and answer questions
- Experience Developing and performing briefings for Government Program Management
- Be flexible and display ability to move to tasks as assigned and quickly gain understanding of the effort required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Physics or Engineering.
- Secret, JAFAN eligible (Public Trust to Start)
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management and customers
- Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations

Senior Directed Energy System Engineer
As a Sr. Directed Energy System Engineer, you will possess broad experience in all aspects of the theory & practice of high energy laser (HEL) and/or high power microwave (HPM) systems engineering, in order to support multiple projects. You must be self-motivated and work with little management supervision. The ability to clearly communicate technical information in written reports & briefings is highly desired.
