Overview

The Senior Director of Digital Health is responsible for the strategy and growth of digital health services across the Novant Health system, as well as community partners and future growth opportunities. In partnership with Digital Health and Engagement leadership, this clinical skilled position oversees digital health projects and program implementation, both existing and new. Oversees the day-to-day operations of the on-demand virtual care team and supports the delivery of virtual care offerings throughout our ambulatory clinics. Represents digital care to the Community Health and Wellness Institute, partnering closely with CHAWI physician and administrative executives.

Provides strategy planning oversight and partner with operational leadership for all consumer-facing digital health services throughout the Novant Health organization. Standardizes quality indicators for programs and services. Promotes digital health services through outreach, which will include provider and staff education of the digital health programs process to include quality indicators. Proactively identifies opportunities to improve the patient experience as well as the efficiency and effectiveness of resource allocation.

Responsible for developing and maintaining professional relationships with all initiative sponsors (for example, senior management) and stakeholders (for example, end-users and suppliers) while ensuring business needs are being met. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, vision, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.. Provides assistance with supervision and development opportunities for associates. Assists in the management of third-party vendors. Creatively identifies consumer and business partner needs and jobs to be done.

The Senior Director of Digital Health is responsible for identifying strategic opportunities to drive our business across the entire Novant Health value chain, foster internal and external collaboration, and partner with leadership to drive key initiatives. Additionally, is responsible for delivering comprehensive business cases to bring new growth opportunities to patients, communities and the system. Ultimately, the Senior Director of Digital Health is to assist in digitally transforming the face of clinical technology at Novant Health, Inc.

Qualifications

• Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree required. Unrestricted licensure commensurate with degree as applicable. (Ex RN, APP, MD) Graduate Degree preferred.
• Experience:
  • 8 years Experience in a progressive leadership position required.
  • 5 years Clinical experience skilled clinical or medical professional such as medical doctor, advanced practice provider, or registered nurse required.
  • 3 years Experience in healthcare information technology and/or healthcare delivery systems preferred.
  • 2 years Experience in business administration or strategy preferred.
  • 3 years Experience executing large-scale healthcare initiatives with strategic deliverables preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Appropriate clinical certification / license required.
• Additional Skills (required):
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working across healthcare divisions or global business units.
  • Ability to work across clinical, non-clinical, and technical departments.
  • Practical experience in the delivery of telemedicine and virtual health services.
  • Demonstrates commitment to improving care for patients by expanding digital health services to all populations.
  • Exhibits strong skills in interpersonal communication.
  • Demonstrates skill in clinical quality improvement and resource management.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership skills and develops and maintains skills in organizing work to achieve system goals and objectives.
