Position Summary The Senior Director of Corporate Security supervises the planning, organizing, and directing of security operations for Orlando Health Corporate Security. Responsibilities Ensures the development and security strategy align with the goals and objectives of the organization. Creates strategic plans and set goals and security protocols. Oversees the planning and implementation of the organization’s security goals, objectives and strategies and aligns same to those of the organization. Possesses the ability to compile, review, and summarize federal, state, and local regulations that effect the safe and security operation of Orlando Health. Provides relevant advice, support, and information to administration on legal and regulatory changes that effect Orlando Health and security operations. Provides appropriate recommendations or conclusions to adverse trends from prepared operational reports and analyses. Oversees the development and publication of budget estimates and control expenditures for the corporate security departments. Manages the coordination of security and protection programs to include traffic control, patrolling of physical property, enforcement of statutes and regulations, crime prevention and investigation of accident, injuries, and criminal acts. Oversees the management of various human resources functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling. Ensures that effective liaisons are being maintained with local outside planning, enforcement agencies and other governmental agencies. Invest in key areas to modernize the corporate security infrastructure and equip the team with necessary tools to manage challenges to critical infrastructure. Promote security awareness across the enterprise. Standardize security practices, training, and policies across the enterprise. Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Maintains professional discipline in the department and adherence to appropriate policies and procedures of the department. Works closely with Risk Management, Emergency Management, and Safety Departments to document, investigate and develop plans that prevent or minimize incidents related to security. Stays informed of evolving technology related to security and makes appropriate recommendations to implement improvements. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s Degree required. Certification Certified through a nationally recognized organization such as IAHSS (International Association of Healthcare Security and Safety) or ASIS (American Society of Industrial Security) is preferred. Experience Seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in law enforcement, military, industrial safety, or a related field, to include (5) five years of management experience, is required.Education Bachelor’s Degree required.
